Over the last few years, I’ve accumulated a number of French whisky bottles, as I have been lucky enough to try a large number, mostly during the three editions of the French whisky dedicated whisky show called Malt in France, which is set on the first weekend of April in Rennes since 2024. I was going to review many in one single review, but as I started adding more and more bottles, I finally decided to continue tasting them and writing about them in two separate reviews. This first one is dedicated to unpeated French whiskies, from several distilleries around France, and we’ll do peated whiskies on Monday’s review.
